1. Timing
The time you go to the market will reflect price and selection. Oftentimes the best produce sells out right when the market opens. But, this means that the vendor may have an increased price. At the end of the market, there will be less selection, but you may be able to score a lower price (and cheaper bulk prices) as the farmers are trying to sell everything that's left.
